Music therapy is a well-established, allied health profession, similar to occupational therapy and physical therapy. It consists of using music therapeutically to address physical, psychological, cognitive, behavioral and/or social functioning.
What does Music Therapy do?
The main goal of Music Therapy Sessions is to work towards goals, outside of music, that the client and their family want to reach. These goals include all domains and areas of life skills:

Expressive and Receptive Communication

Sensory.
Why Music Therapy?
Music therapy is effective especially when music is motivating to an individual. When someone feels like they’re having fun, they don’t realize the work that they’re doing and much more progress can be made.

Music therapy is for all ages including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric adults. Music therapy includes areas that are skilled for people with mental health needs, developmental, and learning disabilities.
