Tommy, a student at the University of Tennessee at Martin, serves as the Market Research Consultant for Minds On Music®, where his keen instincts and cultural awareness help the team evaluate creative ideas for their “coolness” factor.
His musical journey began at age five with piano instruction from Steinway Artist Dr. Kadisha Onalbayeva, and over time, he expanded his talents to include guitar and drums. He became a prominent member of Minds On Music®’s student band, Noteworthy, and continues to perform as both an accompanist and wedding musician.
Tommy helped develop the Minds On Music® program’s dynamic environment—including a state-of-the-art recording studio, practice stage, and vast selection of instruments. This early and ongoing musical training has deeply influenced his development both on and off the stage. As a musician, Tommy has honed the discipline, focus, and coordination that also serve him well as an athlete. He holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in karate and plays D1 college baseball as a catcher—a role that demands strategic thinking, timing, and mental resilience, qualities he credits to his years in music.
